Primary 1 Social Skills Group
A curated small-group programme for children entering SPED-NC in 2027.
Your child may already be receiving speech therapy, behavioural support, occupational therapy or other interventions.
But there is something that cannot be fully replicated in individual therapy: real interaction with peers.
Social skills are best practised with people. And for some children, finding the right peers to practise with can be difficult.
Finding the right social group can make all the difference.
Your child doesn’t just need opportunities to practise social skills. They need opportunities to practise with children who are at a similar stage.
What makes our Social Group different?
This is not just any social skills class.
We keep each group small and carefully match children based on their communication and social profiles. This ensures that the group can practise interacting, communicating and navigating peer relationships together.
The goal isn’t a short-term class.
It’s to build a group that grows together.
Once the group is formed, we hope to continue working with the children over time — allowing them to become familiar with one another, build relationships and tackle increasingly complex social situations together.
And parents get to connect with other families navigating a similar transition.
Together, the children will have opportunities to practise:
starting and maintaining interactions
joining group activities
taking turns and sharing ideas
understanding different perspectives
handling disagreements
handling different perspectives
solving everyday social problems
communicating with peers more independently
How we form the group
01 — Parent conversation
We learn about your child’s strengths, communication style and current social goals.
02 — Child observation
Our lead speech therapist will interact with your child over a few activities to obtain a clear evaluation of your child’s profile.
03 — Group matching
We look for children whose profiles and goals are likely to work well together.
04 — Group formation
Once the right group is formed, the children begin their weekly sessions together.

A small group. Familiar peers. Ongoing growth.
Our 2027 cohort is currently being formed.
Before offering a place, we will get to know your child’s communication and social profile and consider whether the current cohort is likely to be a good fit. If we don’t think this particular group is the right match, we’ll tell you honestly.
Register your interest to find out whether this group may be a good fit for your child.
P.S. Register early to give your child a head start. Groups can start as early as November 2026 to better prepare your child for the transition into Primary 1.
Register your interest for our upcoming cohort
We provide speech therapy clinic sessions, home-based speech therapy and online consultations.
